I can’t overstate how lovely Toy Story 3 was to watch. I was 8 years old when the first one was released, and 15 years later I sat watching the third in probably more awe than when I was 8. Pixar have always had a leg up over Dreamworks in terms of CGI animation because quite simply, their storytelling abilities are of a higher level. Although with Toy Story 3 I kind of feel like it shouldn’t just be nested within the field of animation because it’s just a great film overall. Probably one of the best I’ve seen in the cinema for a long time.
I also did quite an overhaul with the site, looks quite schnazzy at the moment, wouldn’t you say?

Last minute preparations tomorrow for Thailand! I’m pretty damn excited now. I just went and looked at the places we’re staying, and they look awesome! I hope I pack all the essentials, but should be okay. I’m sure I can find anything I need if I forget something…not planning to pack a whole lot of clothes either. BUY BUY BUY!!!
Hum hum.
Even though I’m only going away for 16 days, I think it’s possibly the longest I’d have been away from any family. I’ve never travelled overseas with just friends before, and I honestly cannot believe it has taken this long to do it. But thank god that I am, not that I’m sick of home, but it’ll be so refreshing to just get away. And a nice ending to uni. ‘Uni’s’ as a friend pointed out, the old old version of schoolies. Hah. Anyway, must stock up on medical supplies, electronic supplies and cosmetic supplies. I think those are the necessities of travel.
I must say, TV has been a bit of a let down. All my shows aren’t up to par… SPEAKING OF PARS. TIGER WOODS. What the hell. He was like, my idol. And I’m not even kidding. I started to adore him from a young age (being into golf and such), and it really is just disappointing. I can’t even see anything funny about it, and it annoys me when people crack jokes about it. If there was one shiny figure in sports, it was him, and now he’s ruined. Sigh. He’s really let himself and his family down. One day, maybe, I can go back to screaming out his name whilst watching him on tv, but that’s not happening anytime soon. I hope I can though.

Moving on. I think I am seeing Where The Wild Things Are tomorrow and I have no been more psyched for a movie in so long! As soon as the trailer came out, I have been jonesing to see it. I think I even made an entry saying that back then. Anyway, the wild things look utterly amazing and it’s just such a beloved book that I hope it lives up to its expectations. Which I have faith it will. It can’t not be good. It also has, um, I forget her name at the moment. But the actress from Into The Wild, whom I love. And the type is really hot for the film.
Anyway, got a busy couple days coming up, I haven’t even begun to pack. I should go to bed, but I’ll probably drop by before I fly away.

So the exhibition last night was a lot of fun. I didn’t talk to ANY of the promised industry people though, which is a shame, but hopefully something interesting comes of it. Even if it’s just random people saying hi, that’ll be enough for me. What was upsetting was that our so-called ‘free drinks’ was actually limited to FOUR drinks. Luckily being the savvy girl that I am, I managed to steal a page of the wristbands which allowed you free drinks, and pretty much provided free drinks for my friends and family. Go team. Also a friend of mine was ‘VIP’ and she pretty much got free drinks all night anyway. Ahhh, we almost got our moneys worth I think.
It was really nice seeing all of the work from our year, there was a lot of impressive stuff to look at. If you live in Sydney and are vaguely interested in design (how could you not be?) I strongly suggest you go and visit. It’s open for a week, so there’s still time!
I’ve been going through my work and have started uploading it. It’s quite surprising how much stuff I actually do have. Actually, I think it’s more along the lines of, I’m surprised how much work I don’t hate. Which is actually nice, thankyou university…thankyou.
TO THE FORE, my major project is now online. So you can watch it! There’s links all over this joint for it, so I don’t need to bombard you with it anymore than I have already.
And just like that, university is all done. Completely. The only thing left to do is graduate. Now I have to be a real person.
we were asked to provide a blurb for ourselves which went on our panel. Mine of course, was real serious.
